Dreamland Palace German Restaurant, located in Foster Pond, Illinois, is just a 20 minute drive from the J.B. Bridge. the rolling landscape between Waterloo and Valmeyer makes for a beautiful drive from any place and serves as a wonderful stop for tour buses.

Guests are welcomed by owners Mike and Joan Lang, and son Eric, and smiling employees. the building looks like a German Gasthaus decorated with cuckoo clocks, oil paintings, tapestries, beer steins, collectible plates and an original bar from 1875.

"Its a destination restaurant, something you will not find elsewhere." Joan's family recipes included Jaegerschnitzel, Wienerschnitzel ala Holstein, Sauerbraten, Beef Rouladen, Gekochte Schweineschnitzel, Alpenschnitzel, Black Forest Schnitzel, and tender Hasenpfeffer. Side dishes include red cabbage, homemade spaetzels, Dreamland's Special Kraut Slaw, and the best potato pancakes on both sides of the Mississippi.

Open Wednesday to Saturday 12 Noon to 9:00pm, Sundays 12 Noon to 8:30pm
