Seki Japanese Restaurant

Hiroshi Seki was born in Japan's Niigata Prefecture (located on Honshu island on the coast of the Sea of Japan) and was trained as a professional sushi chef in Tokyo. At the young age of 21 he arrived in the United States to begin applying and refining his craft as entrepreneur and chef. Seki has recently completed his 17th year as owner/chef of Seki Japanese Restaurant, located in the University City Delmar Loop. Combining traditional Japanese flavors with remarkable culinary instincts, Seki has consistently been recognized as providing the most authentic and most extensive selection of Japanese cuisine in all of St. Louis.

If you're looking for excellent Japanese food, Seki must be [your] destination. One doesn't get past the appetizer menu without realizing that there's something special about the place. Sushi is also exemplary here and several notches above the offerings of most other places [... and] by no means should the yakitori menu be overlooked.
